Hector Cuper New Coach National Team Egypt
Cairo – Egypt’s national team coach seats are no longer empty. The country’s football association recently hired experienced Argentine coach Hector Cuper.
Egypt national team does not have a coach after Shawki Gharib resign from his position last November. Vacancy is no longer the case after the official Cuper signed on Monday (02/03/2015) local time yesterday.
“Football Association Board FA announced, after meeting with President Gamal Allam, the appointment of Hector Cuper as coach of the Argentine national team,” said a statement on the Egyptian Football Association official website.
Did not say how long Cuper contracted Egypt. Some local media calls he would be fired if the country fails to pass to the World Cup 2018. For the record, Egypt never again qualify for the World Cup finals since 1990.
Cuper, 59 years old, began to be known the world since usher in Valencia twice qualified for the Champions League final in a row in 2000 and 2001. After he contracted Valencia Inter Milan, and gave the club a top Italian runner-up in 2003.
