Kaka Leads Orlando City Live Season Debut in MLS
Orlando – Kaka was appointed as the captain of the Orlando City. Brazilian attacking midfielder will lead his team to undergo inaugural season in the Champions Major League Soccer (MLS).
Orlando City, which was announced as the new MLS franchise on November 19, 2013, is one of two new teams in MLS in addition to New York City FC. Orlando City and New York City FC will appear in the 2015 MLS season starts, which will kick-off next month.
Kaka became one of the players who were recruited by Orlando City to face the debut season in MLS. He brought in from AC Milan last summer.
In the last half of the season, Kaka on loan to Sao Paulo in order to stay fit physical condition. However, the 32-year-old has now returned to the Orlando City and certainly wearing the captain’s armband on his team this season.
“Kaka has shown great leadership, both on the pitch and in the dressing room, from the beginning,” said Orlando City coach Adrian Heath, who was quoted by Soccerway.
“The other players are naturally follow the guidelines during the preseason. So, he was a natural choice for the position of captain of the club,” said Heath.
