Finally Robben comeback, but Injury Again
Munich – Comeback Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich already anticipated finally happened in the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Borussia Dortmund. But Bayern could be re misgivings because Robben injury in the game again.
Robben injured abdominal muscles as Bayern defeated Borussia Moenchengladbach on 22 March. As a result of the injury, the Dutch winger had to pull over for a month.
After four weeks out, Robben finally did re-sod when Bayern entertain Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal semi-final match at the Allianz Arena, Wednesday (04/29/2015) pm dawn. He entered in the 68th minute replacing Thiago Alcantara.
But Robben’s comeback did not last long. Only 16 minutes on the field, 31-year-old player back to be pulled out. He suffered a calf problem.
After the match ended with a Dortmund victory on penalties, Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Robben’s injury. But Robben still will undergo further examination to determine the extent of the injury.
“He was injured in his calf muscle and tomorrow (Wednesday) will undergo further tests,” said Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, as quoted by Reuters.
Not just about Robben, Bayern also made worried about Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker was lying on the ground after colliding with Dortmund goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak, in the final minutes of extra time.
Lewandowski was finally full play to half of extra time ended. But he was not included in the penalties. Bayern stronghold through the official website states that Lewandowski was taken to hospital after the match with suspected concussion.
Bayern certainly hope the problems experienced by Robben and Lewandowski was not serious. Because on the 6th of May they had awaited Barcelona in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. Bayern will announce the final diagnosis related injuries both on Wednesday (29/04/2015) local time.
